The Rongai route is the only route that approaches the mountain from the North side, close to the Kenyan border
7 Days Rongai Route (Total 8 Days)
The Rongai route begins on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro and is the least traveled route up the mountain. It is a long drive to the starting point but you will be rewarded with fantastic views and the possibility that you will be the only climber around. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos as well as the pride of lions that include the magnificent black-maned males. There are also lots of colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds.
Highlights:
1: Enjoy climbing the mountain with great support and courage
2: Explore different creations while climbing the mountain
