Tour Details
Saadani National Park covers 1100 square km. It is the only wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania bordering the sea. The climate is coastal, hot, and humid. It offers a unique combination of both marine and mainland flora and fauna in a culturally fascinating setting. About 30 species of larger mammals are present as well as numerous reptiles and birds. Besides many species of fish (over 40), green turtles, humpback whales, and dolphins occur in the ocean nearby.

Arrive at Dar es Salaam International Airport, picked up and drive to the Hotel for overnight at Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast, grew from a fishing village. The open-air Village Museum has re-created the traditional homes of local and other Tanzanian tribes and hosts tribal dancing.

Day 2Dar es Salaam – Saadani National Park
Depart Dar es Salaam at 8:00 am to Saadani National Park with lunch packed, sunset game viewing.Saadani is the only Tanzanian National Park bordering the Indian Ocean, where wildlife watching can be done from the beach.

Day 3Saadani National Park
Morning Game drive before breakfast and after breakfast from you camp/lodge you will continue with full day game drive or boat riding in the Wami River.You might have a chance to see the rarest kind of turtle known as Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas, Kasa Ozawa).
