Day trip to Arusha Park

Overview

Though very accessible, Arusha NP isn’t on many safari itineraries. This is mainly because it doesn’t offer a chance of seeing the Big 5. The park is at the base of Mount Meru, which is good for climbing. It has a range of habitats including forest – home to the black-and-white colobus monkey – and is excellent for birding.

    Day Trip: Arusha – Arusha National Park – Arusha

    At 8:00 in the morning meet and greet with your driver guide.Transfer from your hotel in Arusha to the gate of Arusha National Park, the Momella Gate.

    Here you will meet an armed ranger, who will accompany you on your walking safari. This walking safari will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up close. Only a few National Parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity. This is really a must-do! After your lunch at a picnic place, you will continue your tour with a safari vehicle with a driver/guide and drive through the National Park until late evening. You will see a lot of wildlife and stunning panorama’s.

    Wildlife includes: Black-and-White Colobus Monkey, Blue Monkey, Giraffe, Hippo, Zebra, Buffalo and maybe, if you are lucky, African Elephant and Leopard.
